ELABORATION

In Althaia, we produce our handcrafted beers, supervising and executing each step ourselves, from the first grinding process to the final bottling, and using only natural ingredients of the highest quality.

We will let you into our secret: the ingredients. highest quality malt, careful selection of different varieties of hops, Altea water, yeast and lots of love. This is a brief description of the process used:

Grinding: Grind the malt, breaking up the optimum grain but without reducing to flour. A careful selection of malts gives us the characteristic color of the Althaia Beers, the cereal flavor and sugars we need for conversion to alcohol.

Mash: The milled malt and water make an infusion, where the sugars are extracted. A process controlled very carefully by craftsman for the best wort quality.

Boil: The wort is then heated and hops are added to create the must, which brings freshness to obtain balance, flavor and the characteristic scents of Altahia Beers.

Fermentation: The must then passes our fermenting tanks at carefully controlled temperatures. This is to preserve the quality of the wort, and that is where the yeast will do the rest of work by converting the sugar into alcohol and CO2.

Bottled: the must then passes our fermenting tanks at carefully controlled temperatures. This is to preserve the quality of the wort, and that is where the yeast will do the rest of work by converting the sugar into alcohol and CO2.
